Galas/Festivals: Phantom Tea

So many people have expressed a wish to help IRSF raise money, yet were overwhelmed at the thought of anything "really big". Most fundraisers take an enormous effort of time and energy - and most of us find those at a premium. But those who have tried a Phantom Tea have been delighted at the response from their friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors.

A Phantom Tea is a substitute for an actual fundraising event, be it a dance, auction, bowling or golf benefit. No one has to get dressed up to go to it, find a sitter or sit through long speeches. In the comfort of their own homes, your friends will pull out the tea bag you sent in your invitation (printed by IRSF) and fill out a check to IRSF for the love of your daughter. IRSF will send you a list of donors and thank you cards. We even supply the pre-stamped envelopes and the tea bags!

We hope you will join us in towns and cities all over the world as we take a cup of tea and toast the cure for Rett syndrome. We hope to have a very large group of people around the world sipping a cup of tea, toasting your daughter and wishing for a cure for Rett syndrome. Maybe some of them will even feel inclined to send up a prayer, too. The Tea is a wonderful way to educate friends and family and raise much needed funds for IRSF's programs.
