Race for Mace 2006

On June 10, friends of Macy Walker (RTT), daughter of Michelle and Bryan Walker, came together to participate in the Camp Pendleton Mud Run, located in Oceanside, CA.  Ryan Woods, Brad Mastros, Ray Berry, Chris Clark, and Ben Fincher formed a team, calling themselves, “Race for Mace.”  They ran a challenging 10K run which consisted of hills, tire obstacles, river crossings, two 5-foot walls, a tunnel crawl, a slippery hill climb, and a final 30-foot mud pit.  After the run, family and friends of Macy attended an after party, hosted by one of the team members and good family friend, Ryan Woods.  The party, held in Tustin, CA, included approximately 100 guests, where they enjoyed food, drink, music, and a washer board tournament.  The race, combined with the party, raised nearly $3,000, all of which was donated to RSRF, in honor of Macy.  The team hopes to make this an annual event!
